Up for grabs is a Tudor Submariner
7016/0 reference
622,XXX serial number circa 1968 and what one would call transitional case. It is a short lived semi-pointed-crown-guard (SPCG) only correct for early 7016, later changing to standard crown guards.
Case is in excellent vintage condition with very thick and even lugs and original bevels clearly intact. Original twin-lock Rolex crown. Very defined and thick SPCG’s. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.
Dial is in excellent vintage condition with great cream patina. Hands are original, tritium, match well in person but show up lighter in pictures. Please look at the picture at an angle to see color of hands matching to the dial.
Caseback is in excellent condition. Inside is correctly stamped 7528 and I.68
The crystal appears original, high dome.
Bezel insert is original “Long 5” in excellent and damage free condition.
Watch comes on unworn vintage leather strap.
No box or papers. No documented service history. The watch runs very well and requires no immediate attention.
