Up for grabs is a Tudor Submariner
7016/0 reference
624,XXX serial number circa 1968 and what one would call transitional case. It is a short lived semi-pointed-crown-guard (SPCG) only correct for early 7016, later changing to standard crown guards.
Case is in excellent vintage condition with thick and even lugs. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.
Dial is in excellent vintage condition with cream patina. Hands are service replacement, evidently from 1999 based on markings inside the caseback. They briefly glow after UV light expsoure, but do not glow otherwise.
Caseback is in excellent condition. Inside is correctly stamped 7528 and I.68
Bezel insert is also replacement from 1990’s.
Watch comes on Rolex 93150 bracelet with 580 ends, 10 links, J date code, showing stretch from use.
No box or papers. No documented service history. The watch winds smoothly and runs at -3 seconds with ~280 amp.
