Up for grabs is a Tudor Submariner
Reference 7016/0
623,XXX serial number with “semi-PCG” case circa 1968
The watch was found in a very original and raw condition. The case shows signs of wear, but you can clearly see the original chamfers still intact. Clear numbers. Original twin-lock Rolex crown.
The dial is original, with rose logo. Damage-free, orange patina, no relume, no refinish. The hands are correct with large lollipop seconds hand. The patina is a bit lighter, but I believe they are original to the watch.
The bezel insert is a Rolex fat font with serif. The watch was found without the bezel “pearl”, but I was able to add one for better esthetics.
Bracelet is most likely original to this watch from birth and is a Rolex C&I USA rivet with ’71 date stamp, which should be period correct for this range.
Caseback is original, has nice engravings on outside. Dated 1968 inside.
The crystal is also original domed that I just lightly polished to get some scratches out, but kept on the watch.
