Up for grabs is a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in steel

reference 6262 with cal. 727 movement.

This reference was only made for approximately 2 years

2.3 mil serial number circa 1969

Excellent vintage condition case with thick and sharp lugs. The serial and reference numbers are very clearly intact. No corrosion or pitting. There is some clear tape between the lugs, as you can see, to protect the numbers from being rubbed by bracelet end-links. Easily removable and its nothing else but what’s mentioned above.

Dial is in nearly flawless condition. No marks, no scratches, no drag marks. All tritium plots are perfect with nice yellow patina. Hands are perfect with matching patina. No relume, no refinish. There is a slight mark on very edge of dial between 3 and 4. Unnoticeable with naked eye. Subdials are damage and mark free.

Bezel is original, in excellent sharp condition. No damage, no signs of overpolish or refinish. No dents.

Crystal might be original to the watch, domed.

Caseback is original, in excellent and sharp condition. Correctly stamped 6239 inside with casemaker’s and Rolex hallmarks.

The original cal. 727 movement is in excellent physical condition. The watch has been serviced by Michael Young this year (2018).

This watch was found on strap and I have replaced the strap with a newer Rolex 78350 bracelet in tight condition with 571 end-links.

No box or papers.
