Up for grabs is a Rolex DateJust in steel
1601 reference, 36mm
2.3 mil serial number circa 1970 production
Excellent vintage condition case without major dings or dents. No corrosion or pitting. Serial and reference numbers are clearly intact and easily visible.
Dial is original, non-luminous pie-pan in a very attractive and unusual color that’s a light purple with gray tone. Flawless condition without damage. Correct and original hands are also non-luminous. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.
Caseback is original, stamped 1601 and I.70 inside.
Bracelet is original Rolex folded link Jubilee 6251H with all links, 55 ends and 1970 date code on clasp.
Watch comes complete with Rolex box, wallet, COSC paper with punched serial number as well as warranty booklet with punched serial number and 1601. Purchase date in December 1970.
No documented service history. The watch winds smoothly and runs.
