Up for grabs is a Rolex OP Automatic

reference 1007 with machined bezel

2.0 mil serial number circa 1970 production, while the watch was purchased in 1971.

This watch was purchased and given to Arnold H. Jackson in 1971; presumably as an employee gift from Marblehead Lime Company, a stone mining company, based in US since the 1800’s in Springfield, Missouri area.

The caseback of the watch is engraved with his name and company name, the papers are filled out in his name, all AD stamps match the box, etc. However, the serial number of the case is off by 2 last digits from papers. The only explanation to this is that the AD ordered multiple of these gift watches and they made a mistake and gave the wrong papers for the watch.

The watch itself is in very sharp condition. Clear numbers.

Dial is original and damage free, all lume plots are intact, hands are tritium and matching in patina.

Bezel is in nice vintage condition.

Bracelet is original Rolex USA rivet in 14kt, dated 1970, very little stretch.

Caseback is stamped 1007 with 14kt hallmarks inside.

Watch comes with Rolex boxes, warranty booklet, COSC certificate, hang tags, etc. The AD stamp on papers matches the stamp on the box.
