1970 Rolex Submariner ref. 1680 “Red MK4 Dial”

Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date

2.7 mil serial number circa 1970 production

Very good vintage condition case with polished lugs and signs of wear. Numbers are clear, without corrosion or pitting.

Dial is original, MK4 Red with nice patina on dial. No chips or scratches. Original lume.

The bezel insert is a fat font from the 1980’s with tritium pearl. The date disk is white with open 6’s and 9’s.

Bracelet is a Rolex 93150 with with 580 ends, T date code, light stretch from use.

Caseback is original, stamped 1680 and dated 1970.

Watch comes with a couple accessories including the original hang tag with serial number and RSC warranty papers from 1998 with matching serial number. A bit random collection of accessories, but that’s how it was found/bought.

Overall a nice looking Red 1680 to wear!
