Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner in steel
5513 reference
2.47 mil serial number circa early 1970 production
Excellent vintage condition case with thick and even lugs and crown guards. The lugs still retain original chamfers, but have been polished in past. Serial and reference numbers are very clear and fully intact. Original twin lock winding crown.
Dial is original, non-serif with strong patina on plots and hands. Dial is damage free. No spotting or drag marks.
Bezel insert is original fat font in good condition.
Caseback is original, stamped 5513 and I.70 inside.
The watch comes with 2 bracelets. One is original Rolex 9315 with folded links, fully linked. The other one is a K stamped 93150, also containing full links and 593 end-links. The reason why it comes with both, is because the 93150 bracelet is also part of history of this watch. The original owner, whose name is on both receipts from 1971 as well as from 1988, has purchase the 93150 from a store to “upgrade” it from folded link bracelet. The receipt is dated in 1988 and names matches to the name we see on receipt from 1971 when the watch was originally purchased.
The watch comes complete with Rolex box, Submariner booklet printed in 1970, Rolex warranty papers dated in 1971, the AD’s guarantee also dated same day of 1971.
