Excellent vintage condition case with thick and even lugs. Serial and reference numbers are clearly visible.
Dial is original, damage free with original tritium hands and “big lollipop” Seconds hand. All luminous material has been removed from the dial.
Caseback is original, stamped 7528 and I.68 inside. The outside of the caseback is engraved UWSS and number 20 below. It is assumed, but not confirmed by provenance, that the watch was either issued or given to someone who attended the U.S. Naval Underwater Swimmers School. This school was active from 1954-1973 in Key West, Florida. More information about the school and its history can be found at: http://www.uwss.org/
The previous owner of this watch bought it back in 1995 from the original owner, but no provenance or information was kept at this time as it didn’t seem to be important.
The insert on this watch is period correct with tritium pearl. Bracelet is a Tudor 9315 with T date code from 1995. The year when the previous owner obtained the watch and bought a new Tudor bracelet for it.
No other accessories or paperwork available. Watch has been serviced this year.
