1971 Rolex DateJust ref. 1601 “Grey Sigma Dial, REPLACED Case”

Up for grabs is a Rolex DateJust

Reference 1601 with 36mm case and white gold, fluted bezel

This watch was recently sent to Rolex for an overhaul and due its age and wear, Rolex suggested replacing the case and caseback of the watch. Rolex paperwork/receipt states the original case serial number, along with new case serial number and the total amount of $2,500 spent for all this including overhaul.

This was just done in April, 2021, and you essentially have a brand new watch with vintage movement and dial. RSC paperwork and documentation are of course included.

The dial is grey with sigma signature.

Bracelet is a Rolex 62510H with LT date code and 555 ends.
