Up for grabs is a Rolex Explorer 2
1655 reference
2.7 mil serial number circa 1971 production
Excellent vintage condition case with thick and even lugs and crown guards. Case has been previously polished. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible. There is small strip of clear tape over the numbers to help protect from bracelet wear as seen in pictures.
Dial is fantastic original MK1 with very vivid yellow patina on plots and matching tritium hands. No chips, scratches, or drag marks.
Hands are original and correct MK1 with straight seconds hand. Tritium. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.
Bezel is original MK1
Caseback is original, stamped 1655 and II.71 inside.
Bracelet is a Rolex 7836 folded link with 380 ends. Very tight condition with 11 links total.
No box or papers. No documeted service history.
