    -

Up for grabs is a Rolex GMT-Master in steel

    1675 reference

2.9 mil serial number circa 1971 production

Excellent vintage condition case with very thick and even lugs and crown guards. The chamfers are original, the case has not be re-cut or refinished, but it appears that the high polish sides have been touched up. No corrosion or pitting. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.

Superb and extremely attractive original MK1 dial has aged to an incredible and very even chocolate brown color. All luminous plots are intact and have developed a yellow-cream patina. Hands are original, tritium. There is cracking in lume on GMT hand. Original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s. The dial is clearly tropical in person and on camera.

All pictures are taken outside, in natural light and without flash or other artificial lighting. The very last picture is taken outside, under cloudy sky and the picture before that was taken outside, in shade.

Bracelet is a Rolex 7836 in very tight condition. There is no date code on clasp, which is correct for 73-74 production, this matches the watch and further backed up by warranty papers.

Bezel insert is mint and original fat font with brownish hue on red side and nice sky blue on blue side.

The crystal is original Rolex T38 in mint condition.

Caseback is original, stamped 1675 and II.71 inisde.

Watch comes with Rolex box and original warranty papers. The serial number is punched and matches the watch. Caseback sticker is on papers and backs up reference 1675. The papers are dated in 1975.

The watch has been service semi-recently by Rolex trained watchmaker and requires no attention.
