Up for grabs is an Omega Seamaster Automatic
Reference 176.007 watch with Omega Cal. 1040 based on Lemania 1340 automatic movement.
35.6 mil serial number circa about 1972 production
This watch is in steel and measures 38mm across excluding the crown.
The case is original, appears to be unpolished with factory finishes. Signs of wear are shown through pictures.
Dial is original, very attractive blue color that is almost has a gray hue to it. The plots have nice patina on them and hands are also original and tritium.
The crystal is the original high dome Omega with logo in center. It has some scratches as seen in pictures, but I wanted to keep the original on. Polywatch could reduce the amount of them seen.
Bracelet is probably original to the watch, Omega No. 12 with “120” stamped end-links and clasp is dated 1976. It is correct and common for bracelets to be of newer production than watch itself and it shows similar amount of wear as the rest of the watch.
Caseback is original, shows the Hippocampus still. Inside is correctly stamped 176.007
The movement is original, serial number is fully intact on rotor. The watch winds smoothly, Runs at +6 seconds per day at about ~260 amplitude. Quick-set date functions works properly. The chronograph runs, stops, and resets back to zero fine. Service history is not known.
No box or papers.
