Up for grabs is a Rolex DateJust in steel and gold

Reference 1601 with 36mm case, acrylic crystal

3.8 mil serial number circa 1973 production, with warranty papers dated in 1977 at time of purchase.

Very good vintage condition case with thick and even lugs. Legible numbers.

The dial is original, matte white pie-pain with painted Roman numerals. Damage-free with all of its lume dots also intact. The so-called “Buckley” dial.

Bracelet is a Rolex 7836 Oyster with solid gold center links. No date code on claps, which is correct for this time period.

The watch comes with inner Rolex box and original guarantee papers. No service history is known. The watch currently runs at +20 seconds a day with 270 amplitude.
