1973 Rolex Explorer 2 ref. 1655 “MK2 Dial, Straight Hand”

Up for grabs is a Rolex Explorer 2

1655 reference

3.5 mil serial number circa 1973 production

Excellent vintage condition case. Previously repolished with strong lugs and crown guards. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly leggible.

Dial is original MK2 with nice strong yellow patina. There are no chips or lume loss. Hands are original and matching. Original silver date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.

Bezel is original MK2 in excellent condition. Please notice the original “bevel” on edge is still intact which is often times polished/worn down.

Caseback is original and correctly stamped 1655

Bracelet is original Rolex 9315 with 380 ends, 10 links, A date code.

The watch was found and comes with Rolex boxes with 1655 sticker, manual, COSC hang tag, and RSC warranty papers from 1995 with matching serial number.
