1974 Rolex Day-Date ref. 1803 “White Gold, Matte Blue Dial”

Up for grabs is a Rolex Day-Date in 18kt white gold

4.0 mil serial number circa 1974 production

Excellent vintage condition case with thick and sharp lugs and clear numbers. Brushed parts appear to still be factory finished and most likely unpolished.

Very rare matte blue dial with beautiful patina on plots and hands. All plots are fully intact. As it happens and normal for this period colored dials (blue, brown, mocha, etc) the paint shows minor degradation around the plots and on edged. This is a “natural” occurrence. You very seldom see blue dials in white gold, especially in such condition.

The bracelet is original, Rolex president in white gold with hidden clasp, correct A date code, and “53” end-links. The bracelet shows light stretch from use. The bracelet is currently 4 links short from its original length and fits a smaller sized wrist.

All hallmarks and stamps are clearly visible on clasp and case.

There are no box or papers.
