Up for grabs is a Rolex Daytona in steel
Reference 6263 with steel case, bakelite bezel, and screw down pushers
3.97 mil serial number circa 1974 production
Excellent vintage condition case without any dings or dents or deep scratches. The number are fully legible. No corrosion or pitting, thick and sharp lugs.
Dial is original, black sigma without “Daytona”, which was only made for about 2 year period is in excellent vintage condition. The dial present well with nicely patina’d plots. If we look very close, some of plots were “fixed” like 3, 5, and 6 o’clock. During a past service the lume dots were probably partially removed during handling, so someone has added some non-luminous, matching material on top. They do not glow in dark. The subdials also show some handling marks up close. Original and matching hands.
The bracelet is a newer 78350 with correct 571 end-links. Very tight condition, fully linked with 13 links, and CX date code, which is made some time after 2011.
Caseback is also original and stamped 6263 inside.
The bezel has been replaced with Rolex service replacement as well as the pushers.
The watch has been serviced by Bob Ridley about 10 years ago according to previous owner. No box or papers.
