1977 Rolex Submariner ref. 1680 “MK1 Dial, Great Patina, All Original

Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date

5.06 mil serial number circa 1977 production. I intentionally did not blur our part of serial number in pictures because this one is very interesting. The last 4 digits of serial number on this was are “1977” and so is the production year of the actual watch. Very cool coincidence for someone who is looking for a birth year watch.

Excellent vintage condition case with thick and even lugs and crown guards. Clear numbers between the lugs. Plenty of original grime and dirt to show originality.

Dial is excellent and flawless MK1 with creamy patina on plots and hands. No relume, no refinish. Silver date disk with open 6’s and 9’s is original.

Bezel insert is excellent with nice fade and original tritium “pip”.

Bracelet is a Rolex 93150 with 580 ends, 12 links, A date code. Normal stretch from use.

Caseback is original, stamped 1680 inside.

No box or papers. No service history is known.
