1978 Rolex GMT-Master ref. 1675/8 Root Beer

Up for grabs is a Rolex GMT-Master

Reference 1675 in 18k gold

5.4 mil serial number circa 1978 production

Very good vintage condition has undergone some restoration to become a nice wearable vintage GMT.

The case has been polished with nice bevels and even lugs. Legible numbers.

The bezel insert has been replaced with a later one, in excellent condition. The crystal has been swapped to a domed one without cyclops for “cleaner” aesthetics.

The dial remains original with creamy patina on plots. No chips, but shows minor wear if you look at macro pictures. The hands are also original, with no patina as common on GMT’s from this era.

The bracelet is an original Rolex solid gold Jubilee with correct 54 ends and C date code, matching the production year of the watch. The bracelet has been retightened in past.

Caseback is original, stamped 1675 inside.
