1978 Rolex GMT-Master ref. 1675 “Vivid Patina, MK5 Dial, All-Black Bezel”

Up for grabs is a Rolex GMT-Master

5.8 mil serial number circa 1978 production

Excellent and raw condition case shows signs of wear, but has most likely never been repolished with factory chamfers clearly visible. Clear numbers between the lugs. Chick crown guards.

The dial is perfect and very attractive MK5 with strong cream patina. The hands are original, seconds hands especially showing corrosion on metal part. No relume or refinish. The hands can easily be fixed, if you choose to do so, but presented as found (with original crystal with scratches).

The watch was found with all-black insert. If you want to add a Pepsi from same period, I can also offer you a loose insert, but again, wanted to present the watch as found.

Caseback is original and sharp, stamped 1675 inside.

The strap on the watch was well used and aftermarket so it was discarded. A new, unworn strap was added by me for the sale.
