Up for grabs is a Rolex Day-Date Oysterquartz
19019 reference in solid 18kt white gold
6.1 mil serial number circa 1979 production. As you may have noticed the papers are dated in 2012. The serial number is printed onto 150 country code paper, which is a Spain based AD. The guess here is that this watch has been sitting in AD’s vault for many years for one reason or another and then sold perhaps to a customer who had a special request or got a good deal or else. Who knows. But these papers don’t even exist in 2012, so for sure were new old stock or something before that.
Excellent vintage condition with no dings or dents. I would say that the AD probably touched up the sides before selling in 2012 after it has been sitting, the brushed parts look factory Rolex finish. The hallmarks and all numbers under the case are super crisp. The caseback looks unpolished to me.
Dial is beautiful original blue tritiu, with tritium hands. Spanish Day disk. Original open 6’s and 9’s date disk.
Bracelet is in excellent condition. Light scuffs from use. Very tight all of its links present.
The watch comes with Rolex papers only, no other accessories. No documented service history. Currently functions fully.
