1979 Rolex Day-Date ref. 18078 Matte Champagne Dial, Box & Papers

Up for grabs is a Rolex Day-Date in 18kt yellow gold

Reference 18078 with bark finished bezel and bracelet links. This reference has a more preferred uniform textured bezel, instead of how the double quick reference 18248 has indices at each hour of the bezel.

This is a 36mm cased watch with single quickset movement.

6.2 mil serial number watch circa 1979 production.

Excellent vintage condition case without dings or dents or deep scratches. Fully legible numbers.

The dial is a very attractive matte champagne with orange patina, full plots, matching hands, and original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.

The bracelet is original, very tight, has 7 links with screws which is fully linked from factory. Very light stretch and very sharp.

The watch comes with its original “buckle” Rolex inner box, manuals, papers from US AD dated in 1981, and both matching hang tags.
