Up for grabs is a Rolex Day-Date in 18kt yellow gold
Reference 18078 with bark finished bezel and bracelet links. This reference has a more preferred uniform textured bezel, instead of how the double quick reference 18248 has indices at each hour of the bezel.
This is a 36mm cased watch with single quickset movement.
6.4 mil serial number watch circa 1980 production.
Super condition with clearly unpolished case. No dings or dents or major scratches. Legible numbers.
This watch shows some uncommon hallmarks on outside of the caseback as well as an extra hallmark on clasp of the bracelet. These hallmarks were French market import stamps stamped on all solid gold watches importer directly into French market during this time period. They don’t really add any monetary value, but just another “cool” factor of vintage Rolex collecting.
The dial is incredible attractive matte champagne with orange patina, full plots, matching hands, and original date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.
The bracelet is original, very tight, has 5 links with screws, which is 2 links short from full factory length, but will fit most normal sized men’s wrists.
No box or papers.
