Up for grabs is a Rolex Explorer 2
1655 reference often referred to as “Steve McQueen”
7.33 mil serial number circa 1981 production
Excellent vintage condition case with no major dings or dents. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.
Dial is a period correct MK5 with vivid dark orange patina on plots and hands. All lume is intact. The dial has some micro bubbling as you see in macro pictures, but no chips or corrosion. Hands are original and matching tritium.
Bezel is MK4 in very good condition with most enamel still intact.
Bracelet is a Rolex 78360 with signs of wear and stretch. VE date code.
Caseback is original, stamped 1655 inside. Outside has name engraved on it. Can be removed free of charge if you wish.
No box or papers. No documented service history.
