Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date in steel
16800 reference
8.6 mil serial number circa 1985 production
Excellent vintage condition case is clearly unpolished with original chamfers and finishes. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible.
Dial is original, tritium, with very heavy cream patina on plots and hands. No spidering, corrosion, on scratches on dial. Hands are original and tritium. Date disk with open 6’s and 9’s.
Original bezel insert with tritium pearl.
Bracelet is a Rolex 93150 with 11 links, 593 ends, I11 date code is period correct, light stretch from use.
Caseback is original, unpolished. Stamped 16800 inside.
No box or papers. No documented service history. Watch winds smoothly, runs at about +5 seconds per day at ~295 amplitude.
