1990 Rolex Day-Date ref. 18238 Diamond String Ruby, Full Set, Heavy Patina

Up for grabs is a Rolex Day-Date in 18kt yellow gold

Reference 18238 with 36mm case, double quickset

E serial number circa 1990 production with warranty papers dated in 1991 at time of purchase as new.

The watch show heavy oxidation on the case and bracelet with rosy patina throughout. The case is clearly unpolished, the bracelet is very tight and fully linked, the factory caseback sticker is still intact, there is hardly any wear between the lugs from end-links indicating that it hasn’t been worn much. The bezel remains very crisp and sharp.

The dial is original and so-called “string” dial with diamonds and ruby markers.

Early mentioned Rolex President bracelet has the correct O date code on clasp from 1990 production.

This watch comes as very complete set with original boxes with 18238 sticker, original President buckle box, Rolex notebook, Rolex calendar, punched papers, hang tag with matching serial number, and period correct manuals.
