1997 Tudor Submariner Date ref. 79190 “Vivid Patina”

Up for grabs is a Tudor Submariner Date

Reference 79190 which was at the end of production for Tudor branded Submariners. This model has similar characteristics to Rolex 16800 model in that it is a 40mm watch with matte, tritium dial and sapphire crystal. This reference also wears a bit slimmer than its older brother 79090, which has an acrylic crystal.

B970,XXX serial number circa 1997 production

Excellent vintage condition case with thick lugs and clear numbers. Factory chamfers still remain, seemingly unpolished. Original Rolex winding crown.

Dial is original with nice vibrant cream patina on plots and hands. No damage, no relume, no refinish.

Bezel insert is original with correct fat font insert and tritium pearl. The insert is damage-free.

Caseback is original and seemingly unpolished.

Bracelet is a Tudor 78500 with 10 links, diver’s extension, 380B ends, Z date code on clasp which is matching to the watch correctly.

No box or papers. No service history is known. The watch shows about +15 seconds a day on timegrapher.
