Up for grabs is a Breitling Emergency
Reference E76321 first generation model in titanium. The exact reference is E7632110/B833 on papers.
Based on Sales Contract, the watch is purchased new in 2007. Warranty card was dated, but has the correct AD stamp and matching numbers.
This watch was one of 150 special ordered by Blackwater, a notorious private military company which has since changed its name. According to research, Blackwater ordered an initial batch of 100 of these watches through an AD in Williamsburg, Virginia in 2006 and then followed it by another order of 50 and delivered in 2007. This watch was one of the 50 and also came on Professional 2 bracelet, which was a novelty at that time. All of these watches were given out to Blackwater’s lieutenants, contractors who deployed overseas, as well as board members.
This watch in particular was being shopped around by the original owner in October of 2023 in North Carolina. I was offered the watch through another dealer, but was unable to purchase it (assuming because the in-between person offered too little). A month later this watch found me again, this time from a collector who was able to purchase it and was based out of Dallas, TX. He essentially “flipped” it to me and only owned for a week or so. Just like most of these, the sales contract appears to be signed by Gary Jackson, the President of Blackwater at the time. Also, as you can see, there is no name or address on contract, and only Blackwater listed. This was done due to both, privacy and the fact that it was not yet known exactly who would receive this watch. A very interesting piece of military history whether you supported Blackwater or criticized them. Since the company is no longer called Blackwater, there will never be another watch made with this logo.
The watch itself is in excellent condition. Some scratches on top of the bezel, but no major wear or dents or deep scratches anywhere. Fully linked bracelet.
Watch functions properly.
It comes as a complete set with Breitling suitcase box, watch box, tester, screw driver, manual, DVD, warranty papers and the sales contract copy. It even came with the original Precious Gem appraisal for insurance purposes and purchase date, with matching numbers. I have had several of these over the years, but if I recall correctly, this is the first one from the second batch of 50 with Pro 2 bracelet and also the very first one which has even the Precious Gem appraisal.
