38mm F.P. Journe Chronometre Souverain ref. CS “Embossed Dial”

Up for grabs is an F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain Ref. “CS.”

This example features the highly sought-after 38mm red gold case paired with a solid gold dial with embossed numerals.

F.P. Journe introduced embossed dials in 2014, while discontinuing the 38mm sized cases in 2015. This created a narrow production window for this configuration, with fewer than a dozen 38mm Chronomètre Souverain examples believed to exist with embossed dials across both platinum and gold cases.

Unlike later production with applied numerals, these embossed dials required a far more complex manufacturing process involving layered silver coating, embossing, polishing, and multiple print applications. The result is a distinctly different visual texture and depth rarely appreciated unless seen in person.

Presented in excellent pre-owned condition with no notable dings, dents, or deep scratches.
