Up for grabs is an FPJ Octa RDM in platinum
01A reference, indicating the case production in 2001 and A for Octa “Automatique”
This is a very early example, one of first 100 watches made, with an early shiny/shimmer dial as well as first batch of brass Octa movements with straight line Côtes de Genève finishing.
38mm classic FPJ size with brass movement Cal. 1300
A stunning combination of rose gold case with white gold shiny dial.
This is a very early dial, with lots of shimmer. It also appears the subdial has developed patina and is cream in color.
This watch also has correct and original seconds hand with a thick walled ring, opposed to thin rings which came later and were also used as service hands.
The case is spectacular and seemingly unpolished. The lugs are sharp and there is some gold patina developed on sides already.
This watch has been found with its original, early FPJ strap. These strap did not have the quick release push pins and has light color lining. This strap is included and remains in excellent condition. This is important in sense that we have evidence this watch has not been worn much or often, since the original strap is still nice. The buckle is also original and seemingly unpolished.
The watch is presented in the pictures on a FPJ burgundy strap in unworn condition. This strap will also be included.
The watch is also accompanied by period correct FPJ wooden box and its original warranty card from French authorized agent at the time.
