Up for grabs is an A. Lange & Söhne Saxonia Thin
Introduced at SIHH in 2018, this version of the Saxonia Thin features a 39mm white gold case measuring only 6.2mm thick.
The main feature is the Copper Blue dial. Rather than natural aventurine stone, Lange uses a solid silver dial coated with a thin layer of goldstone, also known as aventurine glass. The material is produced from glass containing microscopic copper crystals, creating the characteristic shimmering appearance and considerable variation depending on the light and viewing angle.
The technique dates back to 17th-century Venice. Silica and copper oxide are melted together and then slowly cooled under controlled conditions, allowing the copper to crystallize before the glass solidifies.
The dial is kept otherwise minimal, with applied white gold baton hour markers and matching white gold hour and minute hands.
Powering the watch is the manually wound A. Lange & Söhne calibre L093.1. The movement measures only 2.9mm thick, operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour, and provides approximately 72 hours of power reserve.
Fitted on a dark blue alligator strap with an A. Lange & Söhne white gold buckle.
This watch is in mint condition and comes complete with all Lange boxes, papers, original sales receipt. The watch was purchased in 2026 and still remains under factory warranty.
