Up for grabs is an Audemars Piguet Metropolis
Reference 25919PT.OO.D002CR.01 from mid 2000’s production.
The Metropolis introduced in 2001 at the SIHH as a part of the Jules Audemars collection, Audemars Piguet’s haute horlogerie collection that was named after one of the company’s co-founders.
As with all the members of the Jules Audemars collection, the Metropolis combines a classic design aesthetic—harkening back to the company’s earlier days of producing exquisite dress watches—with magnificent complications. The Metropolis combines perhaps the most iconic of high complications—the perpetual calendar—with one of the most romantic ones: the worldtime functionality.
This watch features a solid platinum, 39mm case in excellent used condition with very crisp and sharp hallmarks on lugs. The top of the bezel and lugs are finished in high polish while the sides of the case are brush finished.
The hand-finished 21k white gold AP winding rotor is displayed on the back.
The watch comes on its original AP black alligator strap moutned on a soilid platinum AP folding buckle.
This watch also comes with an AP certificate of authenticity. No box or other accessories.
THere is no service history on this piece, but everything runs and functions as it should at the time of this listing.
