Berneron Mirage 34 “Viridian” in White Gold, Chrysoprase Stone Dial

Up for grabs is a Berneron Mirage 34 “Viridian” in white gold.

The Viridian is one of Berneron’s least-seen Mirage executions, featuring a chrysoprase stone dial housed in a white gold case.

The name “Mirage” feels particularly appropriate here. For most collectors, the Viridian existed more as a rumor than a publicly documented model. Unlike the standard stone dial Mirage models, it was never publicly announced or offered by Berneron, and no official photographs were ever released. Instead, these were quietly allocated to some of the brand’s earliest supporters. While no formal criteria were published, most recipients already owned at least one Berneron. In total, only 48 Viridians were produced.

Chrysoprase, sourced primarily from Australia, has a vivid green color unlike any other stone currently used by Berneron. While it has appeared in watchmaking on rare occasions, its use remains exceptionally uncommon.

The hardness of chrysoprase reportedly made machining the small seconds aperture especially difficult, resulting in a high rejection rate during production and likely contributing to the limited production.

This watch is in excellent, nearly unworn condition and comes complete with its box and all supporting paperwork, delivered recently in 2026.
