Up for grabs is an early example of F.P. Journe Chronometer Resonance
Reference “R” with 38mm platunum case, brass movement.
This F.P. Journe Chronometre a Resonance is one of the first standard production Resonance watches made, dating back to 2001.
The platinum case with yellow gold dial spec on this watch is probably the most desirable. Yellow dials were only available on brass movement watches, along with white gold and pink gold variants. After the movements were switched over to rose gold ones, yellow dials were discontinued, making yellow dial Resonance some of the most rare and desirable.
The condition of this dial is particularly well preserved. There is no discoloration or fading or staining or oxidation. The subdials are also beautifully preserved and remain original, two-tone silver with original second hands with thick rings. The dial texture is still grainy and shimmery.
The case remains without any notable scratches and without dings or dents.
The brass caliber 1499 is proudly displayed in the back and functions as it should, which seconds hands staying in sync as they should.
The watch comes with black FPJ strap, like new, mounted on factory FPJ deployment buckle. It also comes with a special order FPJ green strap with yellow stitching, unworn.
Accessories include a full set with original boxes, warranty card, manual booklet. The watch has been serviced in 2021 by FPJ.
