Up for grabs is an F.P. Journe Octa Perpétuelle Anniversaire Tokyo
Reference is “OP”
Even though this watch looks like variant of Calendrier model esthetically, it is actually not. The OP was only produced for the Tokyo limited edition piece and feature a perpetual calendar complication, instead of the annual calendar of Calendrier “Q” reference.
This is the only version OP has ever been made in, meaning there are only 99 pieces in the world.
This model was only produced between 2009 and 2010 and launched to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of Tokyo FPJ Boutique.
The anniversary case of the octa perpétuelle is manufactured in polished titanium, with a ruthenium-coated gold dial. It is built on the exclusive Octa caliber 1300.3 in 18k rose gold, with perpetual calendar, retrograde date indication, an aperture for the day, another for the month, along with the leap-year indication within the month of February. The transition between months of 28, 29, 30 and 31 days occurs automatically, including recognition of the leap indicated year. The safety pusher at 8 o’clock is intended for annual adjustment of the months during the initial setting. This exclusive pusher avoids any possibility of accidental activation, enabling use without any specific tools.
This particular example is in excellent and barely worn condition. No scratches, dings, or dents. It even comes on its original burgundy FPJ strap, which shows very little signs of wear. These early straps did not have the quick-release springbars, so we know its original to this watch from 2010. The watch was mounted on an unworn gray croc FPJ strap just to showcase for the sale.
The buckle is original rose gold deployment buckle from FPJ.
This watch comes complete with original boxes and original Certificate signed by F.P. and dated in 2010 at time of purchase. The serial number is a very very low model, a neat cherry on top for all my “numbers guys” out there like me,
The watch functions properly.
