Up for grabs is an F.P. Journe Octa Reserve de Marche
In 2015, to commemorate the end of 38 mm watches, F.P. Journe has unveiled a box set of five watches, and here’s the awesome part – they were in 38 mm stainless steel cases with bronze-colored dials!
Only 38 of these sets were ever made.
Over the years, as collectors’ appreciation for FPJ drastically increased, so did the prices. Therefore, buying a whole 5-watch set in secondary market was unobtainable for most. This led to having some of these sets sold off as individual pieces and this is one of them. So, this is a rather rare opportunity to buy a steel FPJ, let alone individually.
This 38mm steel Reserve de Marche is in excellent condition without any dings, dents, or deep scratches. The dial, which is unique to these steel models, is gold with bronze patina and grainy finish and whitened guilloché Silver.
The movement is Caliber 1300.3 in solid 18k rose gold.
The watch comes on original FPJ strap with original steel FPJ deployant buckle.
For these sets, only a single certificate was issued for each set, not each watch. Luckily, the previous owner requested a copy of the certificate which shows it was purchased in 2015, with all matching numbers. A single 5-watch box was also included with these sets, so, there is no FPJ box with this watch, but I will include an FPJ travel pouch.
