Up for grabs is an F.P. Journe Octa Sport
This is reference ARS with 42mm aluminum case, warranty card is dated in 2013 at time of purchase.
This is a 42mm model, only produced between 2011 and 2014 with aluminum alloy case and bracelet. The case, bracelet, dial, and movement are all made out of an aluminum alloy, landing this only at 53 grams total weight.
It is believed that only 216 Octa S were ever made in aluminum, including those models on rubber straps.
The 42mm size and smooth bezel wears very comfortably on pretty much anyone’s wrist.
This ARS utilized an aluminum alloy automatic cal. 1300.3
The dial is also made out of an aluminum alloy with a sapphire subdial accented with red lacquer. The hour and minute hands, as well as the hour markers are luminous.
The bracelet shows minor degradation of aluminum near the rubber bumpers. This is typical and is most likely the reason why this model had short lived production run in aluminum and switched over to titanium. The bracelet is fully linked and fits a large wrist.
The case of this Octa Sport is in excellent condition.
This watch comes with FPJ boxes, Octa S manual, and original warranty card. No service history, but the watch winds, runs and functions as it should.
