F.P. Journe Tourbillon “30 Years Anniversary” ref. T30

Up for grabs is an F.P. Journe Tourbillon “30 Ans Anniversaire” Ref. T30.

Introduced in 2013 as a limited edition of just 99 numbered pieces, the T30 commemorates 30 years since François-Paul Journe completed his first tourbillon pocket watch in 1983.

This particular example carries a single-digit limited edition number, placing it among the first ten watches produced.

Rather than simply celebrating an anniversary, the T30 is a faithful wristwatch reinterpretation of the original 1983 pocket watch. The movement is constructed from grained and gilded brass, just like the original, with twin parallel barrels driving a centrally arranged gear train and one-minute tourbillon. While the original pocket watch used a detent escapement and key winding, the T30 adopts a lateral lever escapement better suited to wristwatch use, along with a conventional crown at 3 o’clock.

The case is equally faithful to the original concept, crafted from engine-turned sterling silver with 18k red gold bezels and crown. An officer-style hinged caseback protects the movement and features a guilloché silver exterior with the individual edition number engraved in the center.

The grained silver dial closely follows the 1983 pocket watch, with engraved Roman numerals and blued Abraham-Louis Breguet hands.

This example was serviced by F.P. Journe in May 2026 and is running flawlessly. The case was left untouched during service and remains unpolished.
