Up for grabs is an F.P. Journe Tourbillon Souverain
This is the first model with “T” reference, 38mm platinum case and brass movement.
A Tourbillon was actually the very first wristwatch FP has ever made, finishing his prototype in 1993. Then, in 1999 FP introduced the Souscription model with most similar aesthetics as the current watch being offered. This is the 4th generation with “03T” designation indicating a case production run from 2003, the final year for this model. Some of the tiny differences and updates from the first generation as the size of dials screws, shape of remontoire cock, size of font on power reserve, etc. Approximately 100 pieces were made of 4th gen. T between 2001 and 2003. During this time, the watch offered in platinum or rose gold cases and choices of yellow, white, rose gold gold dials. The present example features a rose gold dial with amazing patina while still remaining grainy and shimmery.
The case is in excellent vintage condition without any major dings or dents. The lug edges remain sharp and not showing any signs of overpolish or polish.
The dial is in excellent condition. No oxidation or uneven patina. The pink gold dial with platinum case is the most rare of combinations for a T.
This watch comes as a complete set with FPJ original early boxes, manual book, and warranty card.
