Up for grabs is an F.P. Journe Tourbillon Souverain Ref. “T.”
The original Tourbillon model, housed in a 38mm platinum case and powered by the brass Calibre 1498.
The Tourbillon was the very first wristwatch François-Paul Journe created, with the original prototype completed in 1993. In 1999, the brand introduced the Souscription Tourbillon, establishing the design language that we all recognize today not only on the tourbillon models, but most other Journe watches as well.
This example belongs to the fourth and final generation of the brass-movement Tourbillon, designated “03T,” indicating a 2003 case production. Across the generations, subtle changes occurred, including dial screw size, remontoir cock shape, and power reserve font. Approximately 100 fourth-generation examples were produced between 2001 and 2003.
During this period, the model was available in platinum or red gold with dial options in yellow, white, or rose gold. The present watch features the highly attractive yellow gold dial, remaining in flawless condition with the desirable grainy and shimmery early texture. No oxidation or uneven patina is present.
The case remains in excellent vintage condition with sharp lug edges and no signs of over-polishing.
Offered as a complete set with period-correct F.P. Journe boxes, manual booklet, and warranty card.
The watch is fitted on an unworn dark green F.P. Journe strap with the original platinum buckle. Alternate strap colors are available upon request.
