Up for grabs is an F.P. Journe Vagabondage III
Reference VIII
The Vagabondage III was produced between 2017 and 2019 in a limited edition of 69 pieces in platinum and 68 pieces in 18k red gold. It features F.P. Journe’s signature “tortue plate” flat tortoise-shaped case, with the movement crafted in solid 18k rose gold and shaped precisely to fit the case.
This final chapter in the Vagabondage trilogy is particularly notable for being the world’s first wristwatch with a jumping digital seconds display. True to the “wandering” spirit that gives the Vagabondage its name, the V3 uses a system of rotating disks to display time: a jumping digital hour on the left, jumping seconds in the center, and a dragging minutes display on the right, all framed with the clean, minimalist dial devoid of the F.P. Journe signature.
The Vagabondage III stands out within the trilogy not only for its horological complexity but also for its visual balance and legibility. The triple aperture layout gives the dial a sense of symmetry and movement, while the instantaneous jump of the digital seconds is a mesmerizing technical performance in itself.
The watch remains in excellent condition without any dings, dents, or deep scratches.
The strap is nearly unworn with its original platinum FPJ deployment buckle.
This watch comes with FPJ box, original papers, and service paperwork from late 2024 by FPJ.
