Haldimann Central Balance ref. H11/12 “Rose Gold, 39mm”

Up for grabs is a Haldimann H11/12 Central Balance.

Reference H11/12 in 18k rose gold with a 39mm case. This example dates to circa 2020.

Beat Haldimann introduced the H11 and H12 in 2013, with the distinction originally referring to versions without and with small seconds. Both configurations are now referred to as the H11. Unlike Haldimann’s earlier central tourbillon watches, the H11 places a large balance wheel at the center of the movement while retaining a conventional time display.

The watch is powered by the manually wound calibre ZEN-H11. The movement is constructed around a hand-frosted full plate, with the centrally positioned balance and balance cock accompanied by the exposed crown wheel, ratchet wheel, and click.

The rhodium dial features a frosted finish with individually hand-engraved Roman numerals, hollow spade-shaped hands, and a small seconds display at 6 o’clock.

This particular example is cased in rose gold, an exceptionally rare configuration for the H11, with the majority of examples produced in stainless steel or platinum. It is fitted on a leather strap with its original 18k pink gold Haldimann pin buckle.

The watch comes complete with its Haldimann certificate dated November 11, 2020, fitted presentation box, and outer packaging.
