Up for grabs is Kari Voutilainen Vingt-8
This is a 39mm rose gold cased watch watch with an in-house manual wind movement.
As indicated on the caseback, the watch is a “Piece Unique”, therefore it is the only one to have been made in this configuration.
As one of the earlier V8’s, delivered in 2016, this watch features the earlier version of Kari’s in-house Cal. 28. The biggest difference esthetically between this early movement and later ones is the separated bridge from the plate and placement of the “voutilainen” plaque. The original owner of this piece opted for a traditional rhodium plating and Cotes de Geneve finishing.
The silver dial with hand-guilloche is the obvious star of the show here. The way the pattern of guilloche is made creates an “optical illusion” appearing to have a 3-dimensional shape. The vibrant blue is transparent enamel applied over hand engine-turned pattern. The outer dial is in ruthenium gray color with smooth texture, further enhancing the visibility of the center dial.
This watch comes complete with Voutilainen box, which has a certificate of its own, KV polishing cloth, extra unused KV strap, orignal burgundy KV strap with KV rose gold buckle and the Jean Roussea blue strap you see in the pictures.
