Up for grabs is a Rolex DateJust in solid 18kt yellow gold
1601 reference
680,XXX serial number circa 1960 production
Excellent vintage condition case with no dings or dents. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and visible. Lugs are all even.
Excellent early SWISS only pie-pan dial is non-luminous with matching non-luminous daphne hands. Correct date disk with open 6’s and 9’s. Dial has aged to a tropical brown color.
Caseback is excellent. Stamped 1601 and .750 18kt. Someone has engraved the serial number of watch on inside of caseback in past.
Cal. 1560 movement is in excellent physical condition with original buttefly rotor
Comes on unworn vintage leather light brown strap with gold tone buckle.
