Up for grabs is a Tudor Submariner No-Date
7928 reference
363,XXX serial number circa 1961
Early version of this reference with Pointed Crown Guards, gilt Chapter Ring, SWISS only, dial and gilt hands.
Excellent vintage condition case with very thick lugs and sharp crown guards. Case has been polished from the top in past, but sides appear to be untouched. Serial and reference numbers are crisp and intact. Crown appears to be original twin-lock.
Dila is excellent gilt print, Chapter Ring, SWISS only, aged to tropical brown color. Hands appear to be original and correct, gilt with Big Bubble second had and matching patina on plots and hands.
Bezel insert is evidently original, Long 5, aged to brown color
Caseback is excellent, stamped 7928 and II.61
Watch comes on brown alligator leather strap with steel buckle with Rolex coronet.
No boxes or papers. No documented service history.
