SOLD 1965 Omega Speedmaster “Ed White” 105.003 Straight Lug Tropical Dial

Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Pre-Moon Straight Lug

105.003 reference, so called “Ed White” Speedmaster

240121XX serial number circa 1965 production

Excellent vintage condition case without any major dings or dents. No corrosion. The lugs still show their original beveled edge is usually lost through polishing and wear over the years. 

Dial is original, step with applied logo. Dial is damage free and has aged to a nice even brown tone as seen in pictures. Nice patina on tritium plots. Hands are period correct with drop baton chrono sweep hand.

Bezel is original DON with signs of agin, but still in very good vintage condition. 

Caseback is original with legible outer engraving. There are also someone’s initials lightly hand engraved on outside. Stamped 105.003-65 inside. 

Skinny logo winding crown

Hesalite crystal with logo in center.

Watch comes on unworn vintage leather strap with steel buckle. 

No box or papers. No documented service history. Watch well and winds smoothly. Chrono runs, stops, and resets as it should.
