Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster
105.003 reference “Ed White” with straight lugs.
249520XX serial number circa 1965 production
Excellent vintage condition case with thick and even lugs. Lugs still retain the beveled edge clearly, often lost over years and years of polishing on these. No dents, no dings, no corrosion, no pitting.
Dial is beautiful, original, step, with awesome yellow patina. All plots are intact. Main hands are original, they were saved after service. The tritium was cracked and chipping from them, so the hands have been matched to the dial by ABC Watchwerks. A set of lumi service hands will be included with sale.
Bezel is original, DON with light signs of wear, has a grayish hue to it in person from aging.
Pushers and crown have also been replaced during recent Omega service. Again, the original skinny logo crown and pushers were saved and re-installed the original crown. A service crown will be included with sale.
Crystal is hesalite with Omega logo in center. Yup, the original, scratched up hesalite crystal will also be included.
Bracelet is excellent Omega 7912 with plenty of links to fit a 7.5″ wrist. The original and now rare “6” end-links were saved and are still on bracelet. I believe the bracelet is original to the watch, stamped ’64 production.
Caseback is excellent and damage free. Stamped 105.003-65 inside
This watch has been serviced by Omega service center in Germany in late 2014 and is still under factory service warranty. Needless to say, it is currently fully functioning and great amplitude and timekeeping. A service receipt and warranty card.
Also included is a period correct Omega box and Omega catalog.
