Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner no-date
5512 reference
1.2 mil serial number circa 1965 production
This watch would have originally come with 4-line gilt dial, but found as you see it with 2-line early 70’s dial and serif font bezel insert. This present an opportunity for a project but also a less expensive matte dial wearable piece.
Excellent vintage condition case with thick and even lugs. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact. Very clean and corrosion free case. Original twin lock crown.
Dial is beautiful heavy cream patina serif font with depth on top of Submariner with hands matched by ABC. Dial is 99% flawless with exception of small touch up between 11 and 12 oclock edge. Please refer to macro picture. This is almost invisible to naked eye unless you’re looking for it.
Bracelet is original Swiss rivet 7206 with 80 ends and stamped appropriately 1.66
Caseback is original, stamped 5513 and III.65
