Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner No-Date
5513 reference
1.5 mil serial number circa 1966
Excellent vintage condition case with thick lugs with original bevels. No corrosion or pitting. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and visible.
Dial is very early matte tritium Meters First. Luminous material still glows after exposure to direct light as is appropriate to this period matte dials. Hands have aged to a dark color and no longer glow in dark.
Very nice fat font insert with tritium pearl
Caseback is excellent stamped 5513 and VI.66
Bracelet is Rolex 7206 rivet stamped 2.67 with 11 links and aftermarket end-pieces. Excellent overall condition.
No boxes or papers. No documented service history, but caseback has watchmaker’s marks dated 2013, so recent service is evident.
