Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Pre-Moon
145.012 reference with asymmetrical case and cal. 321 movement.
265X5333 serial number circa later 67 or early 68 production. I usually blur out the last 2 digits of serial number, but this one is kinda cool with last three digits being number 3, three times in a row 🙂
Case is in excellent vintage condition. It shows visible signs of wear, but case is very sharp with defined lugs. Can’t guarantee no one has ever polished it in past 47 years, but it looks close to untouched.
Dial is excellent, original tritium with applied logo. As you can see in one of the pictures in the sun, it has a dark shade of brown tone to it, it is very noticeable and attractive, but I am not putting at premium in price from this nor am I going to call it “tropical”. The color change is evident, but its not a true tropical IMO. Hands are original, tritium. The luminous material has chipped off the 11 o’clock marker.
Bezel is original and a nice DON. It shows minor sings of aging/wear, but overall excellent.
Bracelet is original, Omega 1039 with plenty of links to fit a 8″ wrist. Correct and original 516 end-links and 3-68 date stamp. Bracelet shows light stretch from use, but by no mean is stretched out or overpolished.
Crystal is original, hesalite, with skinny logo.
Caseback is original with crisp Seamonster engraving. A few expected scratches can be observed. Inside is stamped 145.012-67
Chronograph engages, runs, stops and resets back to zero as should.
No box or papers. No documented service history. The watch shows up on timegrapher running at -5 seconds per day.
